Historique - Geschichtlicher Überblick

1959	Création de Circuit Foil Corporation Bordentown Inc. par Charles E. Yates à New Jersey, USA.
29.11.1960	Fondation - Gründung: Circuit Foil SA Capital: 18.000.000 LUF Siège social: Wiltz par Circuit Foil Corporation Bordentown Inc. (which becomes Yates Industries Inc. afterwards), Charles B. Yates and Graig W. Yates. (Usine 1)
1971	Circuit Foil SA devient Yates Industries SA.
1973	Acquisition du site Eurosynthèse et Eupha, Weidingen
1981	Square D, Chicago, USA, rachète Yates Industries Inc. (USA) et Yates Instustries SA (Luxembourg) de Charles B. Yates
1982	A new plant featuring the latest equipment and process technology is commissioned in Luxembourg. (Usine 2)
1990	ARBED, a major European steel producer with headquarters in Luxembourg, buys Yates Industries SA and Yates Industries Inc. from Square D. The companies change their name to Circuit Foil Luxembourg SA and Circuit Foil USA Inc. respectively. ARBED and Furukawa arrange a cross-ownership in the European and Japanese plants, while Circuit Foil USA is a 50/50 venture.
1995	RETEC S.àr.l. a été fondée en 1994 par les partenaires de joint venture ELTECH SYSTEMS CORPORATION et CIRCUIT FOIL. Ce producteur de mousse de nickel, qui a ouvert ses portes en avril 1995, a aujourd'hui un effectif de 25 personnes. L'usine qui produit 24/24 heures et 7 jours par semaine s'est établie dans l'ancien dépôt de la CIRCUIT FOIL à Weidingen.
1995	Circuit Foil participe de 28 % au capital de IEE
1996	Circuit Foil USA is sold to Charles B. Yates, and the cross-ownership between ARBED and Furukawa is resolved. Circuit Foil Trading Inc. is incorporated with offices in Philadelphia, PA and Redmond, WA for sales, technical assistance and logistics for copper made in Luxembourg.
1998	Circuit Foil Service SA, a sheeting and tooling service center for the PCB manufacturers, is launched as joint venture between Deglarges Industries and Circuit Foil Luxembourg.
1999	Constitution of IsoFoil, a European group of economic interest between Circuit Foil and Isola, for the resin coating of copper foil.
2000	Personnel: 390
2002	On March 5, Circuit Foil America (CFA), the latest addition to the Circuit Foil Group's manufacturing facilities located in Quebec, Canada, starts its manufacturing operations. Circuit Foil Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Limited is incorporated on March 15 as the extension of the comprehensive network to ensure global availability of Circuit Foil's products.
2003	Foil Coatings Luxembourg is the new name of Isofoil, CFL takes over at a 100% the operations of the coating line for RCC products and toll coating. The Société Générale de Financement of Quebec (SGF) takes a share of 23.09 % in CF Luxembourg. CFA becomes a 100%-subsidiary of CFL.
	Foil Coatings, nouvelle filiale de Circuit Foil établie sur le site de Weidingen. Cette unité dispose d'une ligne d'enduction faisant appel aux dernières technologies pour la production de feuille de cuivre enduite de résines spéciales. Ce produit innovant trouve application dans les circuits électroniques à haute densité, notamment pour les nouvelles générations de téléphonie mobile. Suite aux plans de redressement mis en oeuvre depuis deux ans et dans un contexte de marché plus favorable, l'usine de production de feuille de cuivre tourne de nouveau à pleine capacité depuis la fin 2003.
